Node 101: Phoenix Chapter
Ok so I was doing my “blog walking” this morning; that’s where I go to people’s blogs that I read daily and go to the blogs that they link to. It helps me reach out and find new people. I try and do this at least once a week.
Today I was on Angela’s blog which I found through Twitter and she had a link called Node 101. Now I had heard about Galacticast doing a video called Node 666 but I haven’t had my Galacticast marathon yet so it’s one of those I haven’t seen yet. I just watched it and have made the connection between Node 101 and it. Sorry everyone, I’m a little slow when it comes to stuff out on the net.
So back to the story. I found Node 101 and went to see what it was. Then, there on the side bar was a link that said “Phoenix”. And lo and behold there is a Phoenix Chapter. Holy crap, I’m not alone in AZ. Now I’ve been on the vlog maps site and saw that there were a total of 11 vlogs in AZ but most of them are either gone or haven’t updated in months. I thought that other than “The Wood Whisperer” and “What’s on Tonight?” I was the only one here. Guess not. I just emailed them and I’m hoping they’re still active and plan on meeting up again soon.
The Phoenix chapter is located at node101phoenix.org. And if you know of any video bloggers in AZ, please send me their links. I get so jealous of all you guys in LA where everyone is so accessible.

Hey Clintus – I am so glad you found the Node101 Phoenix site because I was thinking same as you that I’m alone here in Phoenix, but now I know it’s NOT TRUE. Sweet. I founded the Node101 Phoenix chapter right after Vloggercon 2006 because I want to get a vlog community going here in Phoenix. So far I’ve taught 3 people how to videoblog, but they haven’t done much with it. The current project Node101 Phoenix is doing is giving a videoblogging class at Phoenix College – so I have 8 new people learning how to videoblog this semester. I am thrilled you are out there, too. Maybe we can do a “Meet the Vloggers” at a local Apple store or find some other way to get the community growing. Meanwhile keep doing what you do. I’ll set up a Phoenix Vloggers link section on the Node101 Phoenix site so maybe we can start keeping track of who else is out there. Can’t wait to see your next dare.
Someone just said “apple store”. Aaaaaa!
*runs away*
i’m glad you found a node 101 near you, via me….by the by i’m so digg’in the “dare me” videos…
