Can't believe you're walking along in a tee shirt! And the sun! Raining here in London. Damp and cold and grey. Dark by 4pm. I love seeing this stuff when you're out and about. It's so exotic. Keep them coming, Clintus.

After hearing about Om's heart attack yesterday, I'm more into exercise and health than ever. Good for you that you are "forced" to walk to Starbucks, which will probably keep you alive. Change your oil as often as possible :-) Hope to see you at the tweetup.

@Eric - yeah, lucky you :)

@Rupert - I don't think I'll ever embed a YouTube version of my videos simply because of the quality. There are so many better flash encodes and players out there, Vimeo being one of my favorites. But yeah, the eye balls are there so videos should be too. I think if you just pretisipate in the community and tag your videos well, the views will start to come in. My biggest surge of subscribers came when I started doing video replies to other videos. So I may start doing those again. I'm going to just take the comments and bullshit one asshole at a time.

@Preshit - because that's how I roll.

God, I envy you that blue sky.

Nice tip about the YouTube multi-upload tool. That's just what I need. The single video upload limit was *ridiculous*!

I've also been thinking that I should get back to posting on YouTube. I feel the same way as you. Lots of things not to like - haters, quality, stress on popularity, ratings, layout, etc.

But lots of things to like - the surfing from video to video, the video reply function works well. And viewers. I guess. Though my videos on YouTube have pitiful viewing figures, even after months and months of not posting there. Like many vloggers, I have one video that has way more than all the others, with about 75,000 views - the one of the Flash Mob in London - which has nothing to do with people wanting to watch my videos and doesn't translate into views for other videos *at all*.

But... like vlogging outside YT... perhaps you get out of it what you put in. You can't expect people just to find your stuff. You have to spend time looking for people whose stuff you like and hope that they'll come and see yours and like it in return.

So I've been wondering about whether I should be embedding the Youtube player instead of the Blip player. Hmmm. I wonder if that would have advantages - I guess it would bump up the views. Anyway. See you there. My username is twittervlog.

Well, I'm happy to say I don't have to deal with oil changes and the like here in NYC, but I think I'll keep this trick up my sleeve for when we inevitably return to suburbia. Sounds like a nice stress-free escape while getting a chore done. Good stuff.
