I recently got a video camera too, i want to take my blog in more of a video direction, but just wanted to ask you what sort of response do you get when you take your video camera into a store with you or are talking to it while out on the street.
I tend not to take mine out too many places, as i fear i will get a negative response from people
Lukeb3000 – no matter where you go you will get looked at, because let’s face it, it’s not common for people to be walking around video taping themselves. But it all comes down to either planning everything out so its quick and you get what you need, or if it’s on the fly to just commit and get what you wanted to get. If you worry about what other people are thinking while you’re shooting it you usually cut too soon or don’t shoot everything you wanted to.
Just commit to the shots and try to block out what is around you. I focus on the lens and try not to look away too much when I know there are people looking at me. Good luck.
