My Work and Vimeo Plus

Something I’ve been really bad about is getting pieces of my work online and on my site to showcase. Well one of my favorite video sharing communities just launched their paid “Plus” plan which I got to beta test for them a week prior to the launch. During that week I took advantage of the increased upload limit and got every piece of work I had a web version of online. I then started playing with the new embed options on a few test posts.

So here a few pieces of that work using various embed options that they offer with the Plus package. Also, since they’re all online now I’ve created a page for them here on the site. My Work

Regular Embed:

Custom Outro (pick the videos it shows):

Custom Outro (Text):

Custom Outro (URL):

No Video Controls:

These are just a few of the many new embed features that comes with Vimeo Plus. If Vimeo isn’t your main video sharing site or the features that they offer don’t match your needs then perhaps Plus isn’t for you. But I’m a huge fan of Vimeo and will gladly give them my money in hopes to make the site and the community that much better.

  1. I’ve noticed since they made the paid part live that now my free version has a hard time uploading. It isn’t an issue with speed or anything like that, but when I go to upload a video and select the video to upload, the upload never starts. I have to reload the upload page like 5 times before it finally starts to upload when I pick the video to upload. I think they have a few bugs to work out yet. If they don’t, then eventually it will be easier to just go to another site. And if non-paying subscribers have issues it won’t encourage them to pay for the service. Hopefully they will figure it out and get it fixed though.

  2. looking forward for more information about this. thanks for sharing. Eugene
